Associate General Counsel, Regulatory Affairs and Disputes

📋 Description

• Manage litigation, arbitration, collections, and disputes (commercial, regulatory, employment).
• Develop internal litigation management processes including eDiscovery and retention.
• Advise on employment and IP matters as the go-to expert for the business.
• Collaborate with outside counsel to control costs and ensure high-quality representation.
• Draft, review, and supervise litigation-related documents and memos.
• Advise the GC and senior leadership on litigation exposure and regulatory inquiries.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. or LL.B. with license to practice in US or Canada.
• 8+ years of relevant legal experience (firm then in-house at financial services).
• Proven experience managing litigation and regulatory matters.
• Experience building internal litigation management processes (eDiscovery, retention).
• Experience advising fintechs or financial institutions.
• Strong problem-solving, agile team player, and calm under pressure.
