- Lead legal matters for OKX in Central and South America (excl. Brazil).
- Assess and secure regulatory licenses in the region with Global Legal, Compliance, Licensing.
- Conduct legal research on crypto/digital asset laws; advise on licensing and compliance.
- Advise on legal/regulatory aspects of OKX strategic initiatives in the U.S.
- Draft and revise licensing materials and regulator reports with Compliance and Licensing teams.
- Communicate with federal and state regulators about licensing efforts.
🎯 Requirements
- Active license to practice law in Central or South America; preference for Mexico.
- 10+ years of regulatory licensing experience in top law firms, regulators, or in-house.
- Experience with regulatory reporting obligations (call reports, license renewals, exams).
- Experience advising on cross-jurisdictional matters with international regulators, including El Salvador.
- Experience managing teams and driving projects to completion on expedited timelines.
- Experience making strategic recommendations to senior management and senior legal team.
