Associate General Counsel, Commercial

📋 Description

• Own legal strategy for GTM initiatives, including FI programs, channels, and launches.
• Lead AI-powered contracting: design, build, governance, and AI workflows.
• Represent Legal in cross-functional AI groups, translating risk into policy.
• Partner with senior leadership to provide proactive legal counsel across Revenue, Finance, Product.
• Define and own commercial contracting playbooks and standards across customer, vendor, partner.
• Lead cross-functional strategic projects with stakeholders and outside counsel.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in top-tier law firm and in-house, with commercial transactions.
• Experience leading complex financial institution partnerships or structured finance.
• Experience negotiating channel, distribution, reseller, or embedded partnerships; fintech preferred.
• Hands-on with AI-powered legal tools (contract review, CLM) and AI workflows.
• Background in fintech/payments/lending or proptech; consumer lending a plus.
• JD from an accredited law school; member in good standing of a US state bar.
