Associate General Counsel

📋 Description

• Advise business on complex product and commercial matters.
• Lead drafting and negotiation of strategic commercial agreements.
• Oversee review and drafting of marketplace template agreements.
• Advise on legal issues, marketing, operations; manage risk in products/relationships.
• Proactively manage large-scale go-to-market launches.
• Identify and drive cross-functional initiatives around products/relationships.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. or LL.B. licensed to practice in US or Canada.
• 8+ years in legal, ideally at a firm and in-house tech company.
• Experience drafting/negotiating vendor and marketing agreements.
• Counsel product teams on a broad spectrum of legal issues.
• Experience with fintech or technology companies or financial institutions.
• Creative problem solving; research novel areas of law.
• Ability to work in an agile team; provide pragmatic guidance.
• Track record of sound judgment under pressure.
• Nice to have: securities, privacy/data matters, startup/VC experience.
