- Serve as a U.S. GAAP expert, drafting memos and position papers for complex transactions.
- Evaluate and implement new accounting standards; assess impacts on financials and controls.
- Lead accounting due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
- Advise on revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, leases, and business combinations.
- Support quarterly and annual close by reviewing journal entries and disclosures.
- Partner with external auditors to support audits and respond to technical inquiries.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred).
- CPA required.
- 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Hands-on experience with M&A accounting and purchase accounting.
- Proven ability to write clear, well-supported technical memos.
