Associate Counsel, IP & Open Source

📋 Description

• Provide IP and open source advice for product teams, including licensing and disclosures.
• Draft, review, and negotiate IP terms in commercial and intercompany agreements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify IP issues and build templates.
• Support the open source program with licensing, compliance, and contribution guidance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, Infra, and Tech Brand to improve OSS policies.
• Advise on open source governance topics such as usage, contributions, ownership, and access.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. and active U.S. bar membership in good standing.
• At least three years of IP transactions and licensing experience.
• Knowledge of copyright, trademark, and patent fundamentals in tech contexts.
• Open source licensing knowledge and compliance experience.
• Ability to draft IP provisions in tech agreements and intercompany deals.
• Strong analytical, communication, and multi-matter management skills.
