Associate Commercial Counsel

📋 Description

• Assist the GC and legal team on diverse issues across ActiveCampaign.
• Draft, negotiate, and review contracts (customer/vendor, MSAs, NDAs, licenses).
• Serve as legal advisor to internal departments and committees as needed.
• Maintain and oversee relationships with external counsel.
• Collaborate with revenue and legal ops to automate contract workflows.
• Partner with company leaders to identify practical legal risk.

🎯 Requirements

• 4-year degree and JD required.
• Active State Bar membership in good standing.
• 3+ years as an attorney focusing on transactional, commercial, or corporate law (SaaS preferred).
• Proven experience negotiating contracts across risk and value levels.
• Experience designing contract playbooks and legal resources.
• Familiarity with GDPR/CCPA and global data privacy; CMS with Ironclad/Zip preferred.
