Assoc Director or Director, Process Development & Manufacturing

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement robust chemical synthesis for starting materials, intermediates, and APIs.
• Lead phase-appropriate process R&D for early- and late-stage programs.
• Lead tech transfer of API processes between internal and external sites.
• Collaborate with medicinal chemistry on lead optimization and candidate selection.
• Lead drug substance programs with technical leadership and project oversight.
• Oversee and support CDMO activities and vendor oversight.

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in organic chemistry; 10+ years in synthetic organic chemistry.
• Hands-on lab experience in synthetic organic chemistry and small-molecule process development.
• Chiral molecule synthesis/crystallization experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, ISO, ICH guidelines and best practices.
• DOE and QbD principles experience.
• Experience managing CDMOs and vendor relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative.
