Assistant Head of Department, Automation – ECHO

📋 Description

• Act as an operator of automation equipment during performances and rehearsals;
• Ensure the safety of automation equipment and systems at all times;
• Participate in the inspection and maintenance of automation equipment and systems, and record the results thereof;
• Assist in the upkeep of automation equipment and systems documentation;
• Participate in setup and teardown of the automation equipment and systems and other aspects of the production as required;
• Replace other technicians across other technical departments if required;

🎯 Requirements

• College diploma (or equivalent) in show production, theater production or electronics (or equivalent work experience);
• Two to three years of experience with automation systems;
• Technical knowledge of automation systems (programmable logic controllers, single-phase motor controls, servo systems, control loops, electrical systems);
• General knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems;
• Fluency in spoken and written English required; fluency in French is an asset;
• Be prepared to live on tour 100% of the time and to work abroad.
