Assistant General Counsel

📋 Description

• Support commercial contracting; create playbooks; standardize global terms for risk & compliance
• Provide legal advice for escalations by contract managers on contractual matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts: commercial, vendor, licensing
• Collaborate with product/engineering to update terms; influence compliance in the tech stack
• Manage Xometry's IP portfolio: strategy, filings, protections
• Support privacy, export controls, and broader compliance initiatives; assist policy development

🎯 Requirements

• JD from accredited law school; bar in at least one US state (prefer DC/MD/VA)
• 5-10+ years of relevant legal experience with 2+ years in-house; tech preferred
• Strong understanding of commercial law, product support, technology contracts, IP, privacy, compliance
• Global export control knowledge helpful
• Ability to prioritize tasks and provide exceptional service to stakeholders
• Clear, concise communication with management on complex legal issues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and in a team
• Strong ethical and professional judgment
