Assistant Controller

📋 Description

• Lead month-end and quarter-end close in NetSuite with journal entries.
• Maintain SOX-compliant controls and internal policies.
• Manage federal, state, and local tax filings and complex reporting.
• Oversee end-to-end sales tax compliance and nexus monitoring.
• Lead internal/external audit readiness and documentation.
• Review contracts to ensure ASC 606 revenue recognition.

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years progressive accounting experience; public/private mix a plus.
• B.S. in Accounting/Finance; CPA a plus.
• Advanced Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, IF).
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to research and apply accounting standards to real-world scenarios.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
