- Lead setup, tuning, maintenance, and repair of instruments and playback systems.
- Operate the sound console for performances and rehearsals.
- Monitor and maintain in-ear mixes and playback systems for performer comfort and safety.
- Prepare and tune instruments before each show; ensure proper function and placement.
- Execute show cues and system checks to verify readiness before performances.
- Maintain system documentation, cue sheets, and patch lists; troubleshoot issues quickly.
🎯 Requirements
- 2–3 years in live sound or instrument tech for theatre or touring.
- Working knowledge of digital mixing consoles, playback, mics, and in-ear monitoring.
- Instrument maintenance and tuning (percussion, strings, electronic).
- Experience with audio networking, RF coordination, and power distribution preferred.
- Touring experience preferred; strong troubleshooting in fast-paced environments.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and travel domestically.
