As a Sales Development Representative, you’re the engine that fuels our pipeline. You handle both incoming leads and outbound prospecting answering phone, chat, and web inquiries, qualifying opportunities, and routing each to the right team member. You thrive on autonomy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, deliver an outstanding experience for prospects, and hit or exceed daily activity and conversion goals. This is a salaried, non-commissioned role.

What you'll do

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads: Apply BANT methodology to assess fit and ensure smooth handoffs to Sales teams.
  • Live support coverage: Maintain real-time availability on phone, chat, and email channels during business hours.
  • Respond to common product questions: Leverage up-to-date knowledge of Articulate products to efficiently address standard inquiries during live and asynch interactions.
  • Execute scripted outreach: Conduct high-volume inbound activities and warm outbound follow-ups with trial leads, with potential to support broader outbound campaigns in collaboration with Sales.
  • Meet performance metrics: Consistently achieve or exceed KPIs for pipe gen, qualified opportunities, and activity volume.
  • Champion a customer‑first culture: Work cooperatively with adjacent teams to answer prospect questions and escalate complex issues.
  • Document activities: Log calls, chats, and follow-ups accurately in Salesforce to maintain pipeline integrity.
  • Other sales-support duties as assigned.

What you should have

  • 2+ years’ experience in SDR or related sales support role.
  • Proficient with Salesforce.com; able to manage leads, contacts, and tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive, energetic phone and chat presence.
  • Able to manage a high volume of activities with attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to haves

  • Experience with Outreach or similar sales engagement tools.
  • Familiarity with the e-learning or SaaS market.
  • Comfort working in a remote, team-oriented environment.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this hourly position is $48,200 - $72,400 for all US locations. Articulate takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. This is a US-based role and can be performed remotely from anywhere within the United States. Occasional travel for company events may be required. Employees must physically reside and work within the US throughout their employment and must immediately notify Articulate of any change of address.
