Array is seeking a Staff Database Engineer for a remote role (Remote - USA or Canada). This position focuses on building and maintaining scalable database systems, optimizing performance, and guiding architectural decisions for our data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of database infrastructure
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with product, platform, and SRE teams
- Drive data modeling, capacity planning, and performance tuning
- Ensure reliability, security, and observability of data systems
Qualifications
- 8+ years of database engineering experience
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases)
- Experience with distributed data warehouses, data modeling, and performance optimization
- Proven track record of shipping reliable, scalable systems
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Location: Remote (USA or Canada). This is a remote opportunity with Array.
