Sr. Structural Analyst

Overview

Archer is seeking a Sr. Structural Analyst in San Jose, California to lead structural analysis activities for our products. This role will perform FEA studies, develop analytical models, and validate designs to ensure safety, durability, and manufacturability from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Perform finite element analyses (FEA) using tools such as ANSYS/NASTRAN to evaluate structural integrity of components and assemblies.
• Develop and validate analytical models, load cases, and boundary conditions for static, dynamic, and fatigue analyses.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to drive robust and manufacturable solutions.
• Review test data, correlate results with analysis, and prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 5+ years of structural analysis experience in aerospace or related field.
• Proficiency with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN) and CAD tools (SolidWorks, NX).
• Experience with composites and metallic structures; knowledge of fatigue and durability analysis is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
