Archer is seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer, Mechanical Integration to lead mechanical interfaces and integration efforts for our hardware products. This on-site role is based in San Jose, California, and will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

Role overview

As a Senior Staff Engineer in Mechanical Integration, you will own the interfaces between mechanical subsystems, lead design reviews, and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, manufacturable designs.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical integration across subsystems from concept to production.
Define and manage interfaces between enclosures, assemblies, and components.
Perform tolerance analysis, DFMEA, and design reviews for mechanical systems.
Develop and execute test plans for mechanical integration, reliability, and environmental testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure design-for-manufacturing and quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in mechanical design and hardware integration.
Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and GD&T.
Experience with mechatronics, thermal management, packaging, and mechanical testing.
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
