Archer is seeking a Propeller Test Engineer to join our propulsion team in San Jose, California. This on-site role focuses on planning and executing propeller test campaigns to advance Archer's propulsion platforms. You will design test fixtures, set up instrumentation and data acquisition, and analyze performance data to drive design improvements. You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to ensure safety, calibration, and reliable test reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute propeller testing campaigns and test fixtures
• Set up instrumentation and data acquisition systems to capture propeller performance data
• Analyze test results, develop models, and present findings to engineering teams
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to optimize propulsion systems
• Maintain safety, calibration, and documentation of all tests

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field
• Experience with propulsion testing or propeller performance evaluation
• Hands-on experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, and test rigs
• Proficiency in MATLAB or Python; familiarity with LabVIEW is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and good communication abilities

Nice to have

• CAD experience (SolidWorks, etc.)
• Familiarity with CFD or structural analysis is a plus
