Archer is seeking an experienced Ignition SCADA Developer to design, implement, and maintain industrial automation solutions using Inductive Automation's Ignition software. This on-site role is based in San Jose, California.

Role: Ignition SCADA Developer

Location: San Jose, California (on-site). This position focuses on building and maintaining robust SCADA solutions using Ignition to support manufacturing and operations.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy Ignition-based SCADA dashboards, alarming, and reporting.
Configure Ignition tags, gateways, and Python/Jython scripts to support operators and engineers.
Integrate Ignition with PLCs and SQL databases; work with OPC UA, Modbus, and other industrial protocols.
Create HMIs, trend analyses, historical data logging, and alarm configurations.
Collaborate with control engineers, IT, and OT teams to ensure cybersecurity and performance.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide on-call support as needed.
Document architectures, configurations, deployment steps, and best practices.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Ignition (Inductive Automation) in a production environment.
Strong background in PLC programming and industrial automation.
Proficiency with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data querying.
Scripting experience with Python/Jython within Ignition.
Familiarity with OPC UA, Modbus, and other OT protocols.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-have

Knowledge of OT cybersecurity, version control, and deployment automation.
