AppSec Engineer

📋 Description

• Partner with Karbon teams to embed security from design through reviews.
• Balance security and delivery; communicate risks to non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date on AI-enabled security tech and core practices.
• Identify and assess risks from AI tooling and AI-generated code.
• Apply AI-assisted tooling to accelerate security work (triage, detection, review).
• Work across multiple security domains within a fast-moving team.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years experience in security or development roles.
• Strong communication skills (spoken and written).
• Proficiency in .NET/C#, JavaScript (React/EmberJS), and Python.
• Cloud experience (Azure, AWS or GCP; Azure preferred).
• Experience with SAST/SCA/DAST tooling and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with AI tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) and securing AI apps.
