Senior Solutions Engineer - MidWest at AppOmni

This is a remote-friendly opportunity with AppOmni, a cloud security company delivering security for SaaS and cloud apps. The role is open to candidates in the United States and focuses on pre-sales engineering across the Midwest region while supporting remote work.

What you'll do

Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and tailor security demonstrations of AppOmni’s platform.
Lead technical discovery calls, design security architectures, and present solutions to customers.
Deliver compelling product demos and technical presentations to win deals.
Plan, build, and run proof-of-concept (POC) engagements; evaluate customer environments and requirements.
Respond to technical questions, RFPs, and security assessments with clear, persuasive technical guidance.
Articulate ROI, integration capabilities, and business value to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with customers, partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployments.
Provide post-sales technical enablement and guidance as needed.
Travel as needed (limited travel to support regional activities).

What we look for

5+ years of solutions engineering or pre-sales experience, preferably in cloud security or security-focused roles.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), IAM, data protection, CASB, and related security concepts.
Proven ability to design security architectures, deliver POCs, and communicate complex technical concepts.
Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills; ability to translate technical details to different audiences.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

Experience with AppOmni or similar cloud security/CASB solutions.
Familiarity with the Midwest market or remote US work.
