Appnovation Technologies is seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in San José. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions, build data integrations with external systems, and support a wide range of marketing automation initiatives. You will collaborate with marketing, analytics, and development teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality campaigns.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimize Salesforce Marketing Cloud components including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Contact Builder, and Automation Studio.
Develop and maintain data integrations between SFMC and external systems via APIs and data pipelines.
Translate marketing requirements into technical specifications and actionable solutions.
Write clean, well-documented configurations and code; perform testing, debugging, and deployments.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, ensure data quality and security, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
Collaborate with marketing, analytics, and product teams; participate in code reviews and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Contact Builder, Automation Studio).
Experience with SFMC APIs (SOAP/REST) and data integration patterns.
Proficiency in SQL for data querying within SFMC or related tools.
Familiarity with AMPscript and Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS).
Understanding of data modeling, data extensions, data governance, and security best practices.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a contract role with on-site presence in San José.

Nice-to-have

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certification (Administrator or Consultant) is a plus.
