QA - Frontend Testing & Service Integrations

Overview

Appnovation Technologies is seeking a QA Engineer for Frontend Testing & Service Integrations in Vancouver. This contract role focuses on ensuring the quality of frontend features and the reliability of integrations with backend services. You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define quality criteria and deliver robust software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, write, and execute manual and automated tests for frontend UI components and service integrations.
• Validate REST and GraphQL API integrations and ensure data flows are correct.
• Identify, reproduce, and track defects; work with developers to resolve issues.
• Create and maintain test cases, test data, and test environments.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to QA best practices and automation strategies.
• Support release testing and provide quality metrics.

Requirements

• Experience in frontend QA and testing of service integrations.
• Solid understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern frameworks.
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia) and automated frameworks (Cypress, Selenium, Playwright).
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and version control (Git).
• Strong problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Based in Vancouver or able to work from Vancouver.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Appnovation tech stack or open source technologies is a plus.
