Applied AI Engineer, Beneficial Deployments

📋 Description

• Partner with account execs to understand mission-driven requirements and architect solutions.
• Serve as primary technical advisor to beneficial deployment partners through Claude adoption.
• Design and develop PoC apps showing Claude integration for education, healthcare, research, and nonprofits.
• Create and deliver technical content for impact-focused audiences via events.
• Build demos that showcase practical Claude integration strategies for societal challenges.
• Guide architecture decisions and help partners build state-of-the-art LLM systems advancing missions.
• Help organizations develop lightweight evaluation frameworks and testing suites to measure Claude performance.
• Lead hands-on technical workshops and code reviews with partner engineering teams.
• Identify common integration patterns and share insights with Product and Engineering teams.
• Foster community engagement through technical office hours, developer forums, and impact-focused events.
• Maintain knowledge of latest LLM developments and applications in education, healthcare, and social good.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years in customer-facing technical roles (e.g., Sales Engineer, Customer Engineer)
• Experience with education, healthcare, research groups, nonprofits
• Strong Python skills; production applications experience
• Expertise in LLM patterns, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, agent and retrieval frameworks
• Proven ability to prototype demos for social impact use cases
• Strong ability to communicate with researchers, nonprofit directors, and engineers
• Strong technical writing: docs, tutorials, sample code
• Passion for using tech to create social impact and support mission-driven orgs
• Comfort collaborating across orgs and balancing priorities
• Interest in safe, beneficial AI and advancing AI safety
