Lead Appian Application Developer

Overview

Lead Appian Application Developer at Appian Corporation. This role leads the design, development, and delivery of enterprise Appian solutions. You will architect data models, design processes using Appian SAIL, drive integrations via REST/SOAP, mentor team members, and collaborate with stakeholders across IT and business units.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Appian-based applications with high reliability and scalability.
• Architect data models and process models using Appian SAIL; implement complex business processes.
• Mentor junior developers and drive best practices, code reviews, and technical standards.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and IT teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Integrate Appian applications with external systems via REST, SOAP, and other interfaces.
• Ensure solution quality through testing, performance tuning, security, and deployment automation.
• Maintain documentation and support project timelines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of hands-on Appian development experience.
• Deep expertise in Appian design, SAIL, data modeling, and process modeling.
• Experience integrating with enterprise systems (REST, SOAP, JDBC, OAuth).
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills; experience leading teams.
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Appian certifications (e.g., Appian Developer/Lead Developer).
• Experience with cloud deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
