Overview
Account Executive - Healthcare / Life Sciences at Appian Corporation. This Experienced Hire role focuses on expanding Appian's footprint within the healthcare and life sciences sectors by selling our low-code automation platform to enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline within healthcare and life sciences accounts.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities; develop account plans and win-ready proposals.
- Engage executive-level stakeholders (C-suite, VP, Directors) to uncover business challenges and map them to Appian solutions.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and value propositions that address industry-specific needs and ROI.
- Collaborate with Solutions Engineers, Customer Success, and Professional Services to tailor solutions and close deals.
- Forecast opportunities accurately, maintain CRM hygiene, and consistently meet or exceed quota.
- Travel as needed to engage with customers and prospects.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of enterprise software sales or SaaS experience; healthcare IT or life sciences domain experience highly preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding quota and closing multi-faceted enterprise deals.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and standard sales methodologies (solution selling, MEDDICC, etc.).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.
- Travel flexibility and willingness to engage in customer-facing activities.
