Overview

Account Executive – Financial Services at Appian Corporation in Charlotte, NC. In this on-site role, you will drive new business opportunities for Appian’s low-code automation platform within the financial services sector. You will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, build strategic account plans, conduct product demonstrations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver compelling solutions. You will develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, achieve quarterly targets, and represent Appian in client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify enterprise-level opportunities in financial services.
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycle including discovery, solution design, proposals, negotiations, and contract closure.
  • Build and execute territory and account plans; forecast accurately in CRM.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and ROI analyses.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Engineers, Marketing, and Customer Success to drive customer success and expansion.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and become a trusted advisor.
  • Travel as needed to meet with clients.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of enterprise software sales experience, preferably selling to financial services clients.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and selling complex solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field.
  • Ability to work on-site in Charlotte, NC; willingness to travel as needed.
