Account Executive - Federal Civilian

Appian Corporation is seeking an Account Executive to drive new business with federal civilian agencies. This role focuses on selling Appian’s low-code automation platform to government customers, building strategic relationships, and delivering measurable value through modernized processes.

What you’ll do

• Develop and manage a sales pipeline targeting federal civilian agencies
• Conduct discovery, identify customer needs, and articulate Appian’s value proposition
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations and ROI-focused proposals
• Collaborate with Solutions Engineers to respond to RFPs and craft compelling proposals
• Negotiate contracts and close revenue within quota while maintaining high customer satisfaction
• Provide accurate forecasts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployments

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of enterprise software sales experience, with Federal Civilian sector preferred
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
• Deep understanding of federal procurement processes and security/compliance requirements
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Ability to travel as needed
