About Apex Eye
Apex Eye is seeking a Medical Assistant – Ophthalmology who is willing to train to support our ophthalmology team in Frisco, TX.
Responsibilities
- Assist ophthalmologists during patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams, take medical histories, and document findings.
- Perform basic ophthalmic tests and measurements as directed (e.g., refraction support, tonometry).
- Maintain sterile technique and clean work areas; manage supplies and equipment.
- Support front desk tasks as needed (scheduling, patient communication).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Interest in eye care and a desire to learn ophthalmic terminology and procedures.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to train; previous ophthalmology experience not required.
