Purpose of Job:
The Senior Test Technician is responsible for conducting prescribed tests on technically complex electronic equipment and troubleshooting failures to the component level in a production environment using PC based tools.
Responsibilities:
- Performs functional and operational tests on circuit boards and chassis in a fast-paced production environment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuit boards and systems down to the component level.
- Support hardware validation and verification activities during development and production phases.
- Interpret schematics PCP and Layouts, to diagnosed failures accurately.
- Troubleshoot products using oscilloscopes and digital volt meters.
- Configures and tests end products to meet customer and company specifications and requirements.
- Configures test equipment to meet multiple testing requirements based on product and customer specifications.
- Evaluates returned products for failures.
- Maintains accurate documentation of product test results and updates troubleshooting logs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience performing functional test and diagnostics using custom PC based test equipment and software.
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task to meet multiple deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work over time when needed.
- Maintain safe working practices and comply with safety and quality standards.

Education:
- Associate degree in electronic hardware systems engineering or equivalent from the military or technical school preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of electronic technician experience, including troubleshooting to the component level, in a production environment.
