APAC Public Policy Lead

📋 Description

• Own the APAC policy agenda; drive regional priorities for cross-border commerce.
• Connect policy and product; translate regulatory change into product opportunities and risk.
• Lead senior regulatory engagement; maintain relationships with regulators across APAC.
• Build thought leadership and coalitions; strengthen Adyen's voice with industry partners.
• Enable customer participation; create opportunities for merchants to engage in policy discussions.
• Partner across the business; align policy with Product, Regulatory, Legal, and Risk.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in payments, financial services, fintech, or public policy with APAC expertise.
• Strategic vision of where the APAC region is heading.
• Strong senior relationships with regulators across APAC markets (Australia, NZ, HK, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore).
• Fluent in payments and financial services models, merchant needs, and product tradeoffs.
• Skilled at translating technical requirements into clear policy positions and communicating with stakeholders.
• Excellent written communication; ability to produce submissions, briefs, narratives.
• Pragmatic and outcomes-driven with sharp judgment and credibility.
• Aligned with the Adyen Formula: ownership, one team, clarity, excellence.
