Job Overview

Senior Payroll Administrator at Anaplan based in London, United Kingdom. You will lead UK payroll operations, ensuring accurate processing, regulatory compliance, and secure handling of employee data. This role works closely with HR and Finance to ensure timely and precise payroll delivery for all UK-based employees.

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly UK payroll process for all UK-based employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, auto-enrolment pension schemes, and other statutory requirements.
  • Maintain and validate employee master data in the HRIS/Payroll system, including changes to deductions, benefits, and tax codes.
  • Reconcile payrolls and resolve discrepancies; prepare payroll reports for Finance and Audit.
  • Coordinate year-end activities (P60s, P11Ds) and statutory reporting; support internal and external audits.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to support compensation programs and benefits administration.
  • Safeguard data privacy and maintain documentation for process controls.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in UK payroll administration (at least 5 years).
  • Strong knowledge of PAYE, NIC, Auto-Enrolment and related UK legislation.
  • Experience with payroll systems and HRIS (e.g., ADP, Sage, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday knowledge is a plus).
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
  • Professional certification such as CIPD/CPP or equivalent is preferred.
