CTO Advisor

Overview

Anaplan is seeking a CTO Advisor to provide strategic technology leadership and guidance across the organization. Based in Tokyo, Japan, you will work with the executive team to shape technology strategy, architectural direction, and governance as Anaplan scales its enterprise SaaS platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on technology strategy, platform architecture, and roadmaps aligned with business goals.
• Assess current systems and advise on scalable, secure, and resilient architectures.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, security, data, and business stakeholders to harmonize technology decisions with company objectives.
• Help establish governance, risk, and security practices while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Coach senior engineering leaders and executives, fostering technical excellence and strategic thinking.
• Represent Anaplan in external partnerships, industry forums, and strategic discussions with clients and partners.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in senior technology leadership roles, preferably in enterprise software or SaaS.
• Strong strategic mindset with ability to translate business needs into technology initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at the C-suite and board levels.
• Deep knowledge of cloud architectures, software security, data governance, and scalable platform design.
• Experience with technology governance, risk management, and enterprise-grade delivery.
• Willingness to be based in Tokyo or collaborate across global teams as needed.
