Senior Director, Patient and Professional Advocacy
Amylyx Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Director, Patient and Professional Advocacy to lead the development and execution of patient- and professional-focused advocacy strategies. This role partners with patient organizations, healthcare professionals, and key stakeholders to advance patient access, education, and engagement across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s patient and professional advocacy strategy, aligning with clinical development, medical affairs, and market access objectives.
- Build and manage relationships with patient groups, professional societies, key opinion leaders, and healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Policy, Commercial, and Communications to ensure compliant, impactful advocacy activities.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team or cross-functional networks focused on patient-centric initiatives and education programs.
- Represent Amylyx at conferences, patient events, and professional meetings; translate scientific information into accessible materials for diverse audiences.
- Develop patient education resources and support programs that improve disease understanding and access to therapies.
- Ensure advocacy activities meet regulatory and ethical standards while advancing the company’s strategic goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree (e.g., MPH, MS, MBA, PhD) preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in patient advocacy, medical affairs, health policy, or related fields.
- Proven leadership experience with ability to influence cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Ability to travel as needed to engage with stakeholders and participate in events.
- Knowledge of regulatory and policy landscapes related to rare diseases and patient access is a plus.
