Laboratory Manager – Ampersand

Ampersand is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee the daily operations of our laboratory in Pilsen, Czech Republic. This role ensures safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflows to support research and product development.

Role overview

You will lead lab operations, manage equipment and inventory, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support ambitious projects.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations and scheduling
Maintain equipment calibration and preventive maintenance
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
Manage inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships
Coordinate with R&D and QA teams to support projects
Supervise junior staff and contractors

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field
3+ years of laboratory management or supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of lab safety regulations and quality systems
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proficiency with data management and basic analytics
