Senior Data Scientist

Hi, we are AMBOSS, and we're looking for a product-minded Senior Data Scientist to join our team! You'll work on innovative products that serve medical students and professionals, integrating with their daily workflow and making a meaningful impact on medical education worldwide.

You will:

• Take full ownership of our adaptive learning stack—shaping how learners progress, grow, and succeed throughout their journey.

• Craft smart, innovative algorithms that power personalized learning paths, tailored recommendations, and meaningful real-world performance insights.

• Dive into our rich, rapidly expanding datasets to uncover clear, actionable, and transparent insights that elevate medical education.

• Help us reach new learners by expanding our platform into fresh markets and new user segments.

• Build trust and enthusiasm with learners and educators by openly sharing how our personalization magic works.

• Partner closely with engineers, product managers, medical editors, and teammates from across the company to bring big ideas to life.

• Champion excellence by upholding high standards for code quality, reliability, and maintainability across all systems.

You bring:

• Proven expertise with Python and its data science ecosystem (scikit-learn, pandas, etc).

• Strong understanding of applied statistics, including topics relevant to psychometrics like regression, sample size, etc.

• Experience delivering real-time predictive analytics to users.

• A product mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities, experiment quickly, and maximize user value.

• Commitment to software best practices, such as unit tests, version control, CI/CD, etc.

• Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a track record of addressing complex technical challenges effectively.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of articulating technical concepts clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.
