Full-Time Intern – People Operations (HR)

Hello! We’re AMBOSS, and we’re looking for a full-time intern to join our People Operations (HR) team for 6 months.

About AMBOSS

AMBOSS is a learning and clinical decision support tool striving to empower medical professionals across the globe to provide the best possible care. Our founders set out in 2011 to create a tool that they would have hoped to have as medical students and doctors. Since then we have grown to currently operate in 180 countries and have gained immense traction in Germany and the US. Currently, we are pursuing this mission with more than 500+ employees in our offices in Berlin, Cologne, New York, and Cagliari.

As a People Operations Intern, you’ll be at the heart of our People team, helping create a seamless and inspiring experience for our employees across the globe. You’ll get hands-on exposure to HR processes, see how a fast-growing international company runs, and develop practical skills in people operations. All while actively contributing to our mission to empower medical professionals.

You will:

• Learn the full scope of People Operations: Gain insight into all HR processes, from onboarding to offboarding.

• Support our global team: Provide administrative support to colleagues in Berlin, Cologne, New York, Cagliari and remote locations.

• First responder: Monitor our ticketing system (Zendesk) and help prioritize and resolve employee inquiries.

• Prepare HR documents: Assist in drafting contracts, amendments, certificates, and reference letters.

• Maintain employee data: Keep our HRIS system (BambooHR) organized and up-to-date.

• Support onboarding: Help organize Orientation Week and welcome new team members..

You bring:

• You’re available full-time (40 hours/week) for 6 months, either as a voluntary internship or Pflichtpraktikum.

• You’re fluent in German and English, with clear, empathetic, and professional communication skills.

• Ideally, you already have some previous experience in HR or People Operations.

• You’re hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented, ready to roll up your sleeves.

• You’re friendly, approachable, and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in People Operations.

• You thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic environment and can adapt quickly.

• You’re detail-oriented, discreet, and professional when handling sensitive information.

• You’re collaborative and supportive, enjoying teamwork and shared successes.
