Amber Charter Schools is seeking a Per-Diem School Counselor to support student social-emotional learning and well-being at Amber Charter School Inwood.
Overview
Position: Per-Diem School Counselor. Location: Amber Charter School Inwood. This is a part-time, as-needed role based at the Inwood campus.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and small-group counseling to students
- Support social-emotional learning initiatives and behavior planning
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Maintain confidential records and ensure compliance with school policies
- Respond to crises and provide appropriate referrals and resources
- Participate in IEP/504 planning as appropriate
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field; valid state school counseling certification
- Experience in schools preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic school environment
