Math Teacher (Middle School)

Overview

Amber Charter Schools is seeking a dedicated Math Teacher for our Middle School program in New York City to foster a love of mathematics and help students meet grade-level standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned math instruction to middle school students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners and monitor progress with formative assessments.
• Design and implement assessments, analyze data, and adjust instruction to improve student outcomes.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment, manage behavior, and support social-emotional learning.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, families, and school leadership to support student growth.
• Integrate technology and real-world math applications to build reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; valid teaching certification preferred.
• Experience teaching middle school mathematics preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
