We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master for our customer who will act as a servant leader and team coach for cross-functional Data teams operating within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). This role is responsible for enabling high-performing Agile teams, improving flow, supporting continuous delivery of high-quality data products and ensuring readiness and excellence in Planning Interval (PI) planning, execution and delivery. You will work closely with Product Owners, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Data Engineers, Data Analysts and other stakeholders to foster a culture of collaboration, Lean-Agile learning and relentless improvement.

Required Experience:

Minimum 3+ years serving as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach or similar role
Strong understanding of SAFe principles, Lean-Agile mindset and Scrum execution
Familiarity with PI Planning events, RTE collaboration and Agile Release Train operations
Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, coaching and stakeholder management skills
Experience using Agile lifecycle tools (e.g., Jira, Jira Plans, Confluence)

Key responsibilities & duties include:

Team Coaching & Agile Delivery

Coach and mentor Data teams in Agile principles, Scrum practices and SAFe ways of working
Facilitate key Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Iteration Reviews & Retrospectives
Foster a continuous improvement mindset, optimising delivery flow and removing systemic impediments
Ensure team health, transparency and data-driven improvements using relevant metrics (e.g., flow load, WIP, predictability)

PI Planning Readiness

Guide readiness activities including backlog refinement, capacity planning and story sizing
Ensure the team has clear objectives, dependency mapping and risk identification prior to PI Planning
Support Product Owner in preparing data product backlog aligned to business priorities and ART commitments
Champion alignment of data delivery to architectural runway and compliance standards (Data Quality, Governance, Security)

PI Coaching & Collaboration

Support the team during PI Planning to draft well-formed PI Objectives and a committed scope
Collaborate with RTEs and other Scrum Masters to manage cross-team dependencies and risks
Ensure alignment to solution and data strategies throughout the PI lifecycle
Facilitate communication and flow of information with ART leadership, Business Owners and stakeholders

PI Execution & Delivery

Drive execution of committed PI objectives by supporting predictable delivery
Maintain focus on value delivery and ensuring timely integration of data assets
Track and radiate progress through appropriate tools, dashboards and SAFe reporting
Ensure rigor in inspecting and adapting at iteration and PI system demo levels
Support adoption of DevOps, automated testing, CI/CD and data quality controls within the team

Required Experience:

SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) or similar Agile certs
