We are currently recruiting a Manual QA Engineer to work with the mobile team for our customer. You need to take ownership of testing certain areas of a system, develop in-depth knowledge of the responsible areas. In this role, you will be expected to make recommendations for improvement to tools, perform test case executions, and apply an in-depth working knowledge of standards and methods to comply/enforce the standards in day-to-day tasking.

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of manual software testing experience
  • Robust verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with mobile and web app testing

Key responsibilities & duties include:

  • Re-test fixes for defects
  • Maintain up-to-date test cases after requirement changes
  • Work with relevant people concerning test preparation, test execution, test data and tool usage
  • Plan and coordinate all cycles of testing, including functional-level system tests, business scenario-based testing, to ensure proper test coverage while mitigating redundancy where possible
  • Facilitate the proficient resolution of issues by providing initial triage for issue disposition
  • Preparing Test Scenarios, Test Cases for module, integration and system testing
  • Executing the Test Cases & Defect Tracking
  • Specification analysis

Desirable skills:

  • Ability to work both in a team and individually, setting priorities on your own
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of software testing concepts within the software development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of systems analysis, perform in-depth analysis of the requirement and specifications to create test cases
  • Carry out detailed test cases and scripts. Analyze results and report any problems. Talk to software engineers to solve these issues. Investigate and troubleshoot.
  • Knowledge of software quality engineering and testing methods at all levels applied within the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience on Requirement/Specification analysis, test case design and development, test execution (black box and white box) and defect reporting
