FinOps Data Analyst

Overview

Amach is seeking a FinOps Data Analyst to help manage cloud spend and deliver data driven financial insights. This role is based in Bucharest, Romania.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cloud usage and costs across providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and provide timely cost insights.
• Build and maintain cost allocation models and tagging strategies to drive accountability.
• Create dashboards and reports using SQL and data visualization tools to communicate trends to engineering, product, and finance teams.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and track the impact of implemented controls.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and product teams to define budgets and governance for cloud spend.
• Ensure data quality and documentation around cost data.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in FinOps or data analytics focused on cloud costs.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker; proficient in Excel.
• Experience with cloud providers AWS and GCP and cost management tools; knowledge of tagging, budgets, and cost reporting.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Nice to have: familiarity with Python or R.
