Altruist is seeking a Mutual Funds Operations Manager to lead and optimize the daily mutual funds operations within a fast-growing fintech environment. This role, based in Dallas, TX, will oversee trade processing, settlement, NAV accuracy, reconciliations, and related operational tasks while ensuring regulatory compliance and exceptional client service. You will partner with product, engineering, and client support teams to scale mutual funds operations and maintain strong internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead mutual funds operations, including trade processing, settlement, NAV calculation, and shareholder recordkeeping
• Manage daily reconciliations with custodians, transfer agents, and internal teams
• Ensure timely and accurate NAV calculations; monitor and resolve exceptions
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and client support to implement process improvements
• Support internal and external audits; respond to inquiries from regulators or auditors
• Develop and implement operational controls, SLAs, and KPIs to drive performance
• Mentor and develop team members; prioritize workloads and allocate resources effectively

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in mutual funds Operations or investment operations
• Strong knowledge of mutual fund processing, trade settlement, NAV, and reconciliation
• Familiarity with transfer agents, custodians, and related regulatory requirements
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus
