Strategic Finance & FPA Lead

Overview

About Alto is seeking a Strategic Finance & FP&A Lead to own financial planning & analysis as the company grows. This role will lead FP&A activities, build scalable financial models, manage budgeting and forecasting, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and strategic initiatives. You will partner with cross-functional teams across product, sales, marketing and operations, and you will help shape the long-range plan.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A activities including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning.
• Build and maintain scalable financial models to support decision making.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and variance analysis.
• Provide insights and recommendations to leadership to drive strategic initiatives.
• Partner with product, sales, marketing, and operations teams to align financial plans with business goals.
• Develop dashboards and metrics to monitor performance and cash flow.
• Support monthly and quarterly close processes and scenario analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of FP&A or Strategic Finance experience, preferably in a high-growth environment.
• Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with dashboards and data visualization; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Economics; MBA preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment located in Nashville, TN.
