About the Role

As a Fullstack Software Engineer working on Octopart.com, you will be responsible for the design and maintenance of the user-facing features and interfaces, including Part Searching and Exploration. You will also develop web services implementing the business logic powering these features.

Altium offers the opportunityto solve unique challenges, including complex dataengineering, large-scale distributed systems, and cloud-based architectures. Fromconceptstobuildingnew productfeatures,you will be able toadd your own ideas to the world’s most collaborative and efficient electronics design platformfor electronics engineers.

Please note: The working mode is on-site: 5 days a week from our Cambridge office.

A Day in the Life
of our Fullstack Engineer

Building Web User Interfaces using TypeScriptwith modernframeworks such asNext.JS/React.

Design and implementweb services andmanage server-side logic.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, data platformengineersand DevOps engineers.

APIschemedesignwithBack-endengineersisexpected.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of coding standards and best practices.

WhoWe’reLooking For

Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience:
Proven experience as a Fullstack Software Engineer or in a similar development role; a
t least 4+ years of experience in Fullstack web application development

Having concrete experienceinUI development with
TypeScript

Having concrete experience in BackendDevelopmentwith Node.JS or other languages

Understandingcommon software design principles and patterns.

Problem-solving and analytical skills; able to understand complex business processes and system workflows

Able to communicate clearly with otherengineers and non-technical stakeholders

A strong senseof product ownership.

Required Technology Experience

Advanced knowledge of front-end development using
TypeScriptand React
.Experiencein
Next.JS
is a plus.

Proficientin developing Backend Services.
Go and Python
are highly preferable.

Experience in interfacing/designing web services with “Top-Down”/ “Schema-First” approach. Having experience in
GraphQL
is a significant plus.

Understanding of common Relational Database (e.g. MySQL).

Experience in containerized development, CI/CD, and Kubernetes is a plus.

A good understanding of Elasticsearch is beneficial
