Role Overview

We are looking for a Data Operations (Data Ops) contractor in London to design, implement, and maintain data pipelines, ensure data quality, and enable reliable data access for internal teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data workflows, ETL/ELT processes, and governance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Monitor data quality, lineage, and reliability across data sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to ensure timely data access.
• Maintain documentation for data workflows, governance, and standards.
• Troubleshoot data issues and implement monitoring and alerting.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data operations, data engineering, or related field.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL/ELT tools and data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python or another scripting language.
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data lineage concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• London-based contract role; on-site presence required.
