Accounting Manager, Statutory Accounting

Overview

AlphaSense is seeking an Accounting Manager, Statutory Accounting to lead global statutory accounting and reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with cross‑functional teams to maintain accurate financial records. This remote role focuses on multi‑jurisdictional statutory reporting and process improvements to support the company’s growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage statutory accounting and reporting for multiple jurisdictions
• Ensure timely and accurate statutory financial statements and regulatory filings
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal teams (FP&A, tax, treasury)
• Review applicable GAAP/IFRS standards and ensure compliance
• Improve processes and internal controls around statutory close and reporting
• Oversee month‑end close, reconciliations, and intercompany activities
• Support tax compliance and regulatory inquiries as needed
• Prepare management reports summarizing statutory results for leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; professional designation (CPA/CMA) preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with statutory/regulatory reporting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and local statutory requirements
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and the financial close process
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to work across teams in a remote environment
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and organizational abilities
