K-8th Grade Physical Education Coach at Alpha Public Schools

Location: San Jose, California, United States. This is an on-site role with Alpha Public Schools. The K-8 Physical Education Coach will design and deliver engaging physical education instruction for students in grades K-8, promoting fitness, sportsmanship, and healthy habits while contributing to a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned PE lessons for K-8 students.
• Promote safe, inclusive, and positive learning environments.
• Assess student progress and adapt activities to meet diverse needs.
• Support school-wide health and wellness initiatives and events.
• Collaborate with teachers, coaches, and administrators to integrate physical education with academics.
• Manage equipment, facilities, and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Experience teaching or coaching physical education for K-8 students (preferred).
• Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
• Ability to create dynamic, inclusive lesson plans.
• First aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Commitment to student well-being and physical development.
