Here's what you need to succeed in the Senior Buyer role:

  • A very solid foundations and hands-on experience with print purchasing practices, terminology, and processes
  • Strong supplier management and negotiating skills, and experience in supplier compliance management
  • Strong interpersonal skills working with internal and external clients and suppliers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Able to work within a cross-functional team under tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational and self-motivational skills
  • Ability to analyze and resolve a variety of issues simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Excel. Intuitive or Catapult experience is a plus
  • Minimum of three to five years of print buying and general purchasing experience in the printing industry.

    • You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Procurement Team by obtaining and providing quotations and buying print materials. As well as generating purchase orders for a team of Account Managers
  • Providing the Account Management team with proactive communication regarding the progress of quote requests while working within deadlines
  • Preparing and/or understanding detailed print specifications. As well as evaluate proofs for accuracy and quality.
  • Checking initial quotes for accuracy and requesting additional information, if needed
  • Possessing a strong working knowledge of practices in the corporate or supply chain industry
  • Sending electronic print files to suppliers and following up on any artwork issues
  • Coordinating and managing timelines for each project
  • Demonstrating high credibility and sound ethical judgment in conducting business.
