Role overview
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Alma, you will build and maintain scalable insurance technology platforms while working remotely from the Contiguous United States.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end features across backend services (Node.js/TypeScript) and frontend (React).
- Design, implement, and document RESTful APIs and data models.
- Collaborate with product, design, and security teams to ship high-quality software.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure security, reliability, and performance of critical systems in production.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and modern deployment workflows.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs; testing and debugging skills.
- Nice-to-have: Docker/Kubernetes, GraphQL, CI/CD pipelines, knowledge of insurance domain.
