Alma is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Billing team responsible for delivering the company\'s billing platform, invoicing, and payments integrations. This is a remote-friendly role within North America.

Alma is a leading provider of billing and payments solutions for subscription businesses. This role is for a hands-on Engineering Manager who will lead the Billing team to ship reliable, scalable billing capabilities.

What you\'ll do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers focused on the billing platform and related systems
• Define technical strategy, establish roadmaps, and ensure on-time delivery of features for invoicing, payments and subscription lifecycle
• Collaborate with Product, Platform, Security, and Compliance to design robust, secure APIs and scalable services
• Drive reliability, performance, scalability, and incident response
• Hire, coach, and performance manage engineers; foster a strong engineering culture

What we look for

• 5+ years of software engineering leadership with a track record shipping complex systems
• Experience with Billing/Payments domain is a strong plus
• Strong architectural sense, API design, and distributed systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Experience building in cloud-based environments and modern stack

Nice to have

• Fintech, subscriptions, PCI compliance, or revenue recognition experience
• Familiarity with microservices, CI/CD, monitoring, and telemetry
